Pastor Gibbs became the pastor of New Life Pentecostal Church in June 2011 after serving over 15 years as a minister in Indiana. He loves the people and the city of Cedar Rapids, and plans to grow old preaching God’s Word here.
Both Pastor & Mrs. Gibbs hold a Master’s degree in Church Ministry and Leadership from Valparaiso University and are certified Life Group leaders with Crown Financial Ministries.
They are passionate about building strong, Christ-honoring families and believe the Bible is clear about what God expects of the family and how it is to be accomplished. Intentional discipleship within families is foundational in the Christian life. They encourage the teachings found in Deuteronomy 6:4-7, Ephesians 6:1-4, and Titus 2.
They are also passionate about the apostolic doctrine (Acts 2:38), sufficiency of Scripture, transforming power of the Holy Ghost, and the importance of the local church.
They have been blessed with two boys, Gentry and Preston.
